low income women denied cancer screenings by "right to life" groups

how ironic.  and sad.

due to pressure from self proclaimed "pro life" organizations, susan g koman for the cure foundation will no longer fund breast cancer screenings at planned parenthood- lifesaving care for those without other health care options.  to them i say: don't deny poor women the right to life!

because of planned parenthood there are fewer deaths from breast, uterine and cervical cancers, and there is less undetected sexually transmitted disease.

planned parenthood's mission is to provide family planning education and contraception, primarily for low income women.  it also provides reproductive health care and cancer screening.

and, thanks to planned parenthood, there are fewer unwanted pregnancies.  so abortions are rarer, yet safer, than they would otherwise be.

THANKS, PLANNED PARENTHOOD!!!!!!!
