bucolic splendor blog drew my attention to this great show at nailya alexander gallery (just down the street from rare violins.
velvety images, lushly, masterfully printed.
sammallahti- cartier-bresson of animal photography? don't mean to trivialize (quite the opposite!) or oversimplify, but these shots are compelling because the very deliberate compositions are captured in decisive moments; ... a strange surreal feeling when a lovely landscape is briefly inhabited and echoed by a stretching dog, strutting blackbirds, a seated monkey...

I love these images (and the ones on the link you gave)-- the blend of geometry and organic, focus and heart. I showed them to my son (now 16). He just put up a website, yesterday, of his photos. Check it out:
