30 mile bike ride up the hudson river to irvington.
cranesbill, wild geraniums, along the trail.
bluebells and skunk cabbage.
irvington is where washington irving lived and wrote the legend of sleepy hollow and rip van winkle.
we ended up at the red hat - three stories in a converted mill building and a lawn on the edge of the hudson river. on a warm summer night you can sit outside with a cocktail and watch the sun go down over the palisades...
... then take the train back from irvington station to harlem or grand central.
